Seung-Bok Choi

Professor Seung-Bok Choi received MS (1986) and Ph.D degree (1990) from the department of Mechanical Engineering, Michigan State University, U.S.A. Prior to that, he got BS (1979) in Mechanical Engineering from Inha University, Korea. Currently, he is a Inha Fellow Professor of Mechanical Engineering of Inha University. His primary research area, so far, has been in the area of smart materials, such as ER/MR, Piezoelectric materials, and Shape Memory alloys, and its applications. He is also focusing on automotive systems, robot systems, vibration control systems and robust control algorithms. His research efforts have been documented in the form of 220 prestigious SCI journal publications and 24 international and domestic patents. Then, he received the best paper award from the institution of mechanical engineers (U.K.) (2004), the best paper award in science and technology from Korean federation of science and technology societies (2002), The 4th Korea young engineer award from national academy of engineering of Korea (2000).
