Mauricio Mandel

Dr. Mauricio Mandel obtained his medical degree at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and did his neurosurgery residency at Hospital das Clínicas, University of Sao Paulo Medical School. Upon graduation, he received the 'Edmundo Vasconcelos” prize as the best student in all surgical disciplines. Additionally, Dr. Mandel obtained a clinical Ph.D. in Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery at the University of Sao Paulo in 2018. He worked as an attending neurosurgeon at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, Sao Paulo, and Hospital das Clinicas of the University of Sao Paulo from 2010 to 2019. In 2019, Dr. Mandel moved to the United States and joined Stanford University, California, as a clinical instructor. He underwent further training in epilepsy surgery at Yale University, Connecticut. Currently, he is working in the Department of Neurosurgery, Cleveland Clinic Florida-Martin Health with a focus on minimally invasive neurosurgery (cranial and spine surgery).
